Mosquitoes. Ugh. Their annoying presence can ruin a backyard BBQ or pool party almost instantly. Their itchy bites create discomfort for days. The hum of their wings at night can wake the soundest of sleepers. But beyond their nuisance factor, mosquitoes are carriers of some of the most deadly diseases, including Zika virus, West Nile, and malaria. Mosquito season lasts from April through September. We are only a couple of weeks away from the start of mosquito season in St. Louis. It’s time to fight the bite with Bug Out’s Mosquito Control Treatment Program.
A Few Facts About Mosquitoes
- It is impossible to know if mosquitoes are carrying a disease or not.
- While it primarily targets mosquitoes, our Mosquito Control Treatments also help control fleas & ticks and have been found to be extremely effective at controlling populations of Japanese beetles.
- We also have mosquito treatments available for ponds and lakes. We treat these mosquito breeding sites with larvicide to prevent eggs from hatching & the larvae from emerging as adults. These treatments are safe for fish and other wildlife as they are not pesticides.
How Bug Out Protects You Against Mosquitoes
Our monthly mosquito control treatments (April- September) use a fine mist application of micro-encapsulated materials to treat the foliage all around your house and yard. Each targeted application is designed to kill mosquitoes where they hide and rest during the day. In the video below, meet Tony. Tony is one of Bug Out’s mosquito control specialists. In this video, he shows you what he will do when he comes to your house – from searching for mosquito breeding sites to how he applies the treatments to your landscaping areas, explaining exactly how they work.
What are the 4 D’s of Mosquito Safety?
